From this weekend in Solas Eco Garden Shop, Portarlington, you can now buy ‘Moo Cow Milk’.

‘Moo Cow fresh milk’ was created by husband and wife team Mícheál and Cora Finlay who are dairy farmers in Portarlington. It will be on sale from ‘SOLAS Farmers’ Market’ through their state-of-the-art milk vending machine. It comes in 4 delicious flavours including chocolate and it is full of high protein, as it is pure milk.

This pasteurisation unit allows them to take milk directly from their cows each morning & gently pasteurise it to ensure it is safe to drink. The milk is then brought to a self-service milk vending machine which will be located in Solas Eco Gardenshop, vastly reducing the food miles of the product because it is only 500 metres away. Through Leader funding from their Local Enterprise Office in Laois, they were able to buy machinery.
With sustainability in mind, you can buy the ‘Moo Cow Reusable Glass Bottle’, which is available in 1 litre & 500 ml. After you purchase your bottle, you then proceed to the milk vending machine where it will instantly dispense fresh cold milk daily!
